Take a look at /usr/bin/asm386.sed which as far as I know is a standard part of V.3.2 / 386 and its descendants. It is a surprisingly effective sed script to turn Intel or Microsoft assembler into "as" assembler. It doesn't try to handle macros or to deal with segmented addresses or anything, but it does handle most of the syntactic translations. -- John R.
