I am trying to write a DML routine to do some file manipulation. I find that running the DML routine and then making changes, saving it and running it again in a repeated cycle while I test things will eventually crash and return me to the Program Manager. Does anybody know a way around this? When it does crash, restarting Superbase4 does not permit access to the database that I was using. I get an error message "Instance in use". I have to quit Windows completely to be allowed to access the file again. How can I access the file without having to leave Windows? Another problem I have is when I set a filter on a required field. The DML routine cycles through the file properly until it gets to the end. Then it halts with a message telling me that the field requires a value and dumps me into the editor. What am I doing wrong to cause this? Thanks for your help. Stephen psyeoh@ubvmsd.cc.buffalo.edu I'm trying to take hold of reality, but somebody keeps moving it :-)
