Hello there!

Sorry to clutter up the net with such trivial questions but I am new to
this system.  I have 2 questions regarding how to:
1. convert the binary files published as text format in some of the messages
   that are in this group.
2. how to log onto annonymous file sites e.g. cica.indiana.edu, what do I use
   as user/password?
