I am wondering how to create windows independently from NeWS
applications. By this I mean that I need to create and destroy
windows independently from other NeWS applications. Suppose
I create an window by...

/win
  [MyCanvas] [/Footer false] framebuffer /newdefault ClassBaseFrame
send
def
(Interactive Drawing tool) /setlabel win send

/place win send
/activate win send
/map win send

from some NeWS application and then go ahead to 'Zap' it . The window
remains on the screen until I Zap the main application Window. The
main application window is using Litewin superclass and the subwindow
which I want to create and destroy is of Classcanvas.

Is there any way to create and destroy this window independent of the 
main application window ? . I am using openwindows 1.0.1.
