When I try to change my xterm font to "font3" (or "medium" in the VT Fonts
menu), and I have changed my definition of this font to something other than
the default (8x13), xterm beeps. It won't change its font.

All of the others do work. Am I overlooking something, or is this a bug ?

To be concrete:
XTerm*VT100.font:               -b&h-lucidatypewriter-medium-r-normal-sans-*-120-*-*-m-*-iso8859-1
XTerm*VT100.boldFont:           -b&h-lucidatypewriter-bold-r-normal-sans-*-120-*-*-m-*-iso8859-1
