   I am trying to compile the X11R4, but ( of course )
  when I reached the clients/appres directory after all libraries
  compiled , I got the undefined symbol alloca which is defined
  in /usr/lib/libc.a

  there is a flag in Xtos.h INCLUDE_ALLOCA_H which set the function 
  alloca , but I couldn't find if it set ot not , or if it should be.

  this work is done on a SUN370, 

  Any suggestions ?
