Pardon me for butting in here! Just a couple comments: 1) I think it takes a major injury or other physical problem to make one realize how important a second opinion is, because most people don't feel the sting of poor-quality medicine until they have a big problem that requires big expertise. 2) A friendly warning about DCs: beware of the syndrome known as "hypermobility." If your chiro is giving you fairly rough treatments (a lot of cracking), or is having you come in to the office very often (like, 3 times per week), beware of the long-term damage that too-frequent manipulation can cause. A DC who isn't willing to discuss hypermobility with you may be more interested in lining his wallet. Best of luck with your treatment ... -- Ed Arnold * NCAR * POB 3000, Boulder, CO 80307-3000 * 303-497-1253(voice) 303-497-1137(fax) * era@ncar.ucar.edu [128.117.64.4] * era@ncario.BITNET era@ncar.UUCP * Edward.Arnold@f809.n104.z1.FIDONET.ORG
