Phonic Ear has made a couple of models--I've tried several and only one was really adequate for me--and they've stopped making that model as I understand it. So look for Comtek FM ALDs. They are high quality, no more expensive than any other good system. Be sure to try out whatever system you look at--see if different microphones are available and try more than one kind of mike. There should be a couple of different mikes that have different directionality. That is, there should be an onmi- or multi directional mike, a partially uni-directional one, etc. Comtek does have a really uni-directional mike, but it is very expensive, and not really necessary for a classroom or speaker situation. It's sure nice for a cocktail party or noisy room, though! I can come up with Comtek's address if needed, but a speech and hearing center or SHHH Chapter should have it too. Let me know if you do want the address.
