That's the one thing I noticed, it doesn't BK> do much talking to me. However, the arrow keys do just fine, Bill, Yeah, that is how most word processors behave with speech, as they typically write direct to the screen. Ok, you're using Flipper, right? Well, you have 2 fairly easy options available to you if you want the prompts to talk. First of all, and I'm sure you will find this to be too much chatter once you are comfortable with Word Perfect, you can cause it to write through the bios by entering it with the command WP/NF rather than just the WP. You will then either have to silence the status line with a quiet window, or toggle off "automatic output" with a F-1 in screen review whenever you start to type your document. A simplier, but less talky method, is to turn on "extended automatic output" in Flipper with an alt F-1 in screen review. This will cause most of the prompts, such as "exit WP ? Y/N" to be spoken without interfering in any other way. It won't speak the entire help screens or the entire menu when one is presented, but it will read the basic prompts automatically.
