Hi Linda,
     Yes, the SpeakEasy is completely compatable with the screen reader 
(I owned a copy for several months myself) because it emulates a Votrax 
PSS command set, or a DEC-Talk commandset.  It is an external 
synthesizer, fast, with a large user-definable dictionary and many other
