No responses the first time around. I have had a problem the last few weeks that is driving me nuts! I get the following message randomly: There was a problem with /usr/lib/news/history!! Corrective action failed - check suid bits. What happens is I chmod on history to -rw-rw-rw-. It gets changed to -rw-r--r-- from something in the news software. Then something in the news software complains that it connot write to the history file.
