Southern Hushpuppies

2 cups white corn meal
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 cups buttermilk
2 eggs
1/3 cup finely chop onions

Mix dry ingredients, then add milk and eggs. Drop by spoonfulls into
deep hot oil. When browned drain on brown paper.
