Are you sure it was a security system that scrambled your video? The UK
uses a different broadcast format, and you cannot use their tapes
here and vice versa. It is possible to get them converted, but it is
expensive and a nuisance.


Is it possible the CD was defective? I'd try writing to the label
or manufacturer to see...if you bought it at one of the big west end
record shops (HMV, Virgin, Tower), you could probably send it back.
