Let me try to set the record straight. We have no plans to purchace
ANY superconductor chips from Conudctus at this time. HP does own 15%
of Conductus and we do have joint research projects on Superconductivity.

I believe the origin of the 25000 number is a July 12 1990 Wall Street Journal
article where Conductus was said to have the CAPACITY TO PRODUCE 25000 chips
a year. I just got off the phone with Ora Smith, the Chief Marketing Officer
of Conductus and he told me that the number was a estimate he made during a
phone interview with the Wall Street Journal. Conductus does sell
High Temperature Superconducting Films, but I would estimate their sales
at this time to be closer to 25 than 25000.
