I have read numerous stories purporting that, but I cannot remember off
the top of my head where (thirty magazines/month, four newspapers/day
starts catching up with my mental index).

Also, for those who are not familiar with some of the patterns in the
NewYork Times, Tuesday is Science day.  Yesterday two articles of interest
to this list appeared in the National Edition:

1)  Page B5:  "For More Drugs, First Test is Abroad"

              'U.S. scientists say it's too difficult and expensive to
               do clinical trials at home.'

2)  Page B6:  "AIDS Research Chief Awaits Key Report On Propriety Questions."

              'Reputations of Gallo and National Cancer Institute are at
               Stake.'
