Curiously there is an interesting statement in the article-- Industrialized countries began to realize how missle proliferation threatened their interests during the 1982 war over the Falkland Islands, when Argentina used Exocet missles supplied by France to sink a top-of-the-line British cruiser. I'm sure the skipper of the Sheffield would be proud to know how large a ship he was commanding . . .
