     I have experience in both animal and plant molecular biology, in
particular, molecular and classical genetics.  I am interested in genome
organization and the various mechanisms of chromosomal rearrangements that
result in genetic variation.  My research group is currently pursuing
several projects related to th
e field of human genetics and DNA
recombination.  Most importantly, in collaboration with other
investigators, I am interested in the mapping and genetics of human
chromosome 22.  Previous research involved the characterization and
utility of transposable elements of maize (corn).
