There is an advertisement in last MacUser for a 2400 baud
(switchable to 300/1200/2400), 100% Hayes compatible, external
modem for $69.- (good for any computer, busy/ring detect, and
auto answer, two year warranty - that's all they write).
There is no make given, but there is a photograph enclosed.
The company is, by the way, MacExpress, 1-800-MAC-STUF.

Has anybody bought that modem and if so, what are the
experiences? Thanks for sharing them with me.
