I heard that cisco supports unnumbered serial lines "now", but don't ask me what release that is. Or you could try and get cisco to implement a routing protocol that carries along subnet mask information, allowing the subnet masks to vary from one interface to another. OSPF comes to mind as a candidate protocol. --Kent
