The correct executable reports it's version in the opening screen as "Version 14.0r". By the same token, if anyone compiles the source with the new MSC 6.0 compiler, be aware that if you restore two successive FRACTINT *.GIF files with the "r" command, the fractal information is not loaded in for the second one. This is a very innocent bug, but we were afraid there might be more since most of our testing was with MSC 5.1. Of course, one opinion is that we will get the most robust code by using the least robust compiler :-)
