Larry gives me credit I don't deserve. 

I sent Larry an emulation of ftruncate(2) for System V release 3
using fcntl(). I forgot to tell him I got the code from an article
in comp.unix.questions some time ago. Unfortunately, I did not
save the real author's name, so Larry assumed it was me.

If the real author would step forward, this mistake can be
corrected in patch #29.
