Hi.  We've just obtained the source to Perl 3.0 at my site as well as all
the patches.  Many of the patches failed, however.  Why?  Is it necessary
to rerun configure after applying each patch?  Can some Perl installation
guru offer some guidance?  Please reply via mail so as to avoid net clutter.
