You have to run it from a Shelltool instead of a command tool due to bugs in the command tool window. Try and run any curses/terminfo/termcap program in a command tool and you'll see that things don't work. Run it from a shell tool and it'll work just fine. We've got a patch in our elm to check for a TERM of 'sun-cmd'.
