problem: QuickMail to UUCP <where the Unix host polls our site - to save on
long distance charges>
 
floated solution:
QM SMTP bridge <beavergate/GatorMail-Q/TouchMail> that talks to the MacTCP
driver running over SLIP.  A serial link to a 286 (running DOS or Unix) that
gates SMTP on SLIP to UUCP.
 
question:
 
will this work? What s/w would we use on the PC?
