I'd be interested in hearing war stories, too.  We currently use HP-UX
with HP workstations, as our applications don't have heavy real-time
requirements.  Those requirements are steadily increasing, however, and
more '386s are showing up.  We would like a 386 based unix to add to our
development toolbox, and Lynx looks pretty good so far.
