(hence, I'm posting it) I found a new amiga "journal" yesterday at HT Electronics called Enchanted Realms. The premiere issue that I found was about as big as a game's manual and it included a disk. It is devoted entirely to adventure games for the Amiga. Between the rather unrevealing, shrink-wrapped covers is an impressive group of articles with basic hints and helpful reviews. My favorite feature about the magazine is that they actually categorically review games (unlike Amigaworld which basically copies what is on the back of the box.) This month featured Dungeon Master, my personal favorite. The general audience of the reviews is intended to be people who have not bought the game. The info is pretty much for people who are considering what adventure game to buy next. **************** BIGGEST DUNGEON MASTER SPOILER OF THEM ALL ******************* Unfortunately, many of you who are currently enjoying Dungeon Master are still reading... On the disk of ER's first issue is a DM saved game with four players with: 999/999 health, stamina, 512 mana, Adept at all skills, 127 for all attributes. They can throw a 14kg chest plate down the longest corridor, they can heal about as fast as any monster can attack them, they can launch 70-80 MON fireballs before sleeping, you get the idea. If you haven't finished DM, avoid this disk at all costs. If you have finished, it might be fun to goof around with these guys -- try to beat the 45 min record. Other than those ~32K, the disk is pretty useless. Not much info on the disk, but the menus and interface are well done -- and there is good potential to put more emphasis on the disk in the future. It's only $9.95 -- I thought it was a pretty good deal.
