Any chance you have the Cherry keyboard (function keys are the size of the "Esc" key, rather than the size of the "Alt" key as they are on newer keyboards) and have the "SetCPU FASTROM" MMU setup (this is, apparently, the standard GVP setup). That combination causes problems; the ROM's keyboard code runs too fast for the Cherry's handshake. If you had 1.3 in ROM, you could use the "KEYPATCH" option to put a safe delay into that routine. Unfortunately, the KEYPATCH option doesn't work correctly for 1.2. There are other utilities designed to slow down the keyboard routine which may help you out. Or you could eliminate the FASTROM setup entirely. >Art Baker -- Dave Haynie Commodore-Amiga (Amiga 3000) "The Crew That Never Rests" {uunet|pyramid|rutgers}!cbmvax!daveh PLINK: hazy BIX: hazy Get that coffee outta my face, put a Margarita in its place!
