Has anyone successfully used gcc to compile X11R4 on an
Apollo running SR10.2? If so, what changes did you make?
I have compiled as much code as possible with gcc, and
the rest with cc (because of function prototypes), but
get the following error when using xinit:

  Xlib: Getting interface configuration: Not a typewriter

All subsequent attempts to connect to the server are refused.
