Long ago I downloaded and used a good program called "Electric Cottage" from QuantumLink - it was shareware and supported both protocols named above (and was a good fast xmodem). I expect that it is still available on Qlink (I just don't belong there anymore). The only drawback to this very nice program is that it is a 'dumb' 80 column terminal - no protocol like vt100 supported.
