Marks) Organization: Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Lines: 23 Help! I have an Acer 1100 motherboard that decided to go south. AWhen I boot, the VGA bios comes up and Award Bios comes up, but no memory check, or drive polling. The keyboard is polled also. I called ACER about the repair and they wanted $600 to SWAP motherboards!! I believe the problem shouild be minor, since I get something on the screen. (No sound from speaker, however). Any sugestions as to what I should do? Is there any way I can tell if the CPU itself is good? The Memory? Or should I sell the thing as used junk and buy something else? Thanx in advance -- Evan R.
