Not only do you get a slick tower system, with a speedy ESDI drive, you also get the NEC Multisync-eliminator - the Sony CDP 1304 monitor. The upgrade path to the 486 (and I am quoting the salesman from memory, so bear with me if I mess it up a tad), is "There will be a daughterboard available...late '90...about $ 1,800" So...if you really want a 486, you MAY wish to save up a bit, and get it from the start. OTOH, the 386/33 OUGHT be fast enough for most any purpose, and it sure does make it a bit easier on the budget (lower initial outlay, gradual upgrade with the math chip). I've had MY Touche over a month, now, and am highly satisfied.
