I know that if you simply retrieve the file from the List Files screen (#1) WP 5.1 will translate it for you. However, this takes a VERY long time (longer than in older versions if I remember correctly). No, there is no ASCII to Word Perfect choice in the Convert program. Any ideas or suggestions of programs, preferably public domain or shareware?? Thanks. Please e-mail. Mark Ritchie markxx@garnet.berkeley.edu p.s. If it was just an occasional batch file it would be no problem, but I am constantly working with close to 1 meg downloads off of different databases (CD-ROM). I usually let them convert overnight or if I have to leave for a while... a *long* while...:-(
