I'm interested in buying a laptop PC:

- price range $600-900
- mostly for word processing use
- to be used in India

I'll appreciate any recommendations about what to buy and/or what not
to buy, and where to buy. I apologize if this was recently discussed
in this newgroup - my site had postings only for the last two weeks.

I can summarize the responses on the net if there is sufficient
interest.
