As a matter of fact, I encourage people to use the ruler and in fact, all the visible formatting aids to work on documents. In the next couple of months I get to upgrade everyone on my local network to Word 4.0b, and I dread the extra power 4.0 gives in the hands of novices. I just spent an hour "debugging" a document creating by one of my "seed" 4.0 workstations. - Allen
