As a new user in the MAC world I am trying to learn how to use
the MAC for communications via modem.  Does anybody have 
anything that would explain what is needed in the MAC environ??

Do you have to have a Hayes compatible modem ??

We were trying a modem made by BlackBox that requires a ^E to get
the attention of the modem.  We tried everything under the sun and 
couldn't get it to work....  how do you know if you're cabled 
correctly ???

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.  :-)
