We use it to allow custom-built push-button panels to provide input via the Notifier. Does a similar mechanism exist under OpenWindows? I am aware that it may be possible to use the ``notify_set_input_func'' function although the ``XView Programming Manual'' just states that this is used for files, pipes and sockets and says nothing about devices.
