Keywords: Miscellaneous Message-ID: <1990Aug15.235329.7026@rice.edu> Date: 14 Aug 90 23:28:29 GMT Sender: sun-spots-request@rice.edu Organization: Sun-Spots Lines: 39 Approved: Sun-Spots@rice.edu Originator: spots@titan.rice.edu X-Sun-Spots-Digest: Volume 9, Issue 304, message 12 [[Ed's Note: All replies to this note should be directed via private mail to Dave Taylor -bdg]] As guest editor of an upcoming special section on Prolog Interpreters on various hardware platforms for "AI Expert" magazine, I'd like to find a couple of writers interested in reviewing the various Prolog packages available for the DOS, OS/2 and/or SPARC platforms. I'll be covering the Macintosh myself, as well as editing the overall section. What you should bring to the party: experience writing, especially product reviews; experience with Prolog of some sort; your own hardware as appropriate; and the available time in your schedule to turn this out reasonably quickly. What we'll bring: money! fame! free software! Seriously, "AI Expert" is prepared to make available to you a copy of each of the available Prolog packages for the platform you're qualified for (to keep), and upon publication, you'll also be paid $$ for your review too. For obvious reasons, I'd rather not work with anyone that is part of a company that produces Prolog interpreters or compilers, but I would be most interested in talking with students. Please, though, those that have published previously will have a better chance of landing this interesting assignment... If you're interested, drop a note listing your qualifications to: taylor@intuitive.com (Dave Taylor) and I'll acknowledge within a few days. Thanks greatly! -- Dave Taylor Intuitive Systems Mountain View, California taylor@limbo.intuitive.com or {uunet!}{decwrl, apple}!limbo!taylor
