You can get the operating system you need from MISOSYS at 1-800-MISOSYS.
You can also still get LD-DOS 6 from Radio Shack, but I am pretty certain
they are a version or two behind MISOSYS.

A quick test to see if your machine is still alive is to plug it in,
turn it on and watch for floppy drive to light up.  Then hold down the
period key and press RESET.  The machine should start running memory 
diagnostics.  If they don't barf and you can see the text on the screen,
sounds like a lot of the machine is working.
