Lines: 14 In-reply-to: It seems that we now have at least three choices of emacs 18.55 for A/UX courtesy of David Berry, John Coolidge, and Ron Flax (hope I got the credits right). I've done a cursory check and found that there appear to be differences among the three. If it's true that all three are different, has anyone compared the capabilities of these? Is one considered to be the official FSF emacs? I would like one that runs with A/UX 1.1; however, I can build it using A/UX 2.0 if necessary or desirable. Are binaries generally backward compatible? Thanks for any information. -- Jim Fohlin (617) 271-7505 The MITRE Corporation, M/S A156 jcf@mitre.org Burlington Rd, Bedford, MA 01730 ...!linus!jcf
