Lines: 20 There appears to be a bug in Interactive 386 Unix which prevents a number of programs from working properly. The clearest example is Borland's "touch", part of the Turbo C package. "touch file" has no effect on any of the 3 dates in the inode. This applies to versions 2.02 and 2.2 (at least.) Also jove will not shorten an edited file; if you make a file shorter using jove under Vp/ix you will find old junk at the end of it. This does not happen in native DOS. Does anyone know exactly what's going on? Does anyone have a fix? Please reply *BY MAIL*, since my site doesn't receive this newsgroup.
