Subject: Problem with "shell" command in GNU-Emacs on A Sparc1 running OS4

	Does anyone know how to make Emacs' "shell" command work on a 
Sparc1 running SunOS4. The individual commands <m-x !> and <m-x |> work 
fine. But the "shell" command gives a process terminated code and plops
me into the *shell* buffer with no shell running. I have tried this 
with csh, sh, and Bash.
