Message-ID: <24188@adm.BRL.MIL> Date: 16 Aug 90 13:52:42 GMT Sender: news@adm.BRL.MIL Lines: 11 Hello -- I am running most of the Gnu tools on a Sparc1 with SunOS4.03. All is working well, except for gprof. It compile up fine. But when run it said "cannot open /dev/kvmem" so I looked at the source. It then said if this happens to do a setgid on /dev/kmem, but as a try I became root then tried to run gprof again. This time the message that came back was "Abort (core dumped)". Can anyone out there suggest a fix? Many thanx, scott kolodzieski scott@sparc1.stevens-tech.edu
