No guarantees, but if I were to try and get this to work this is what I'd do.

pick some LAT device in /dev, say tty10

put the line lcp -h /dev/tty10:caseSensitiveNameofDS200:PORTnumberon200 in rc.local

and then act as if /dev/tty10 were a normal shared tty in /etc/ttys

Shouldn't take very long to try this out.
The real question is, is there something in LAT that conflicts with or does
not support the shared tty support in the tty driver (TIOC[SC]INUSE).
Perhaps Matt T. could elucidate.
