The problem is this: run Emacs and start an interactive shell, with /bin/csh as the shell. Type a command and press return. The command gets ECHOED. For example: $ echo foo echo foo <--- THIS IS THE ECHOED LINE foo $ This does not happen with a default shell of /bin/sh, /usr/bin/sh5, /usr/bin/ksh, or GNU bash. Therefore, I suspect it is a csh problem. Any ideas?
