I had trouble installing them because windows was trying to put ega.sys into my config.sys file. I discovered later that ega.sys is not on my drive anywhere. So, I put in display.sys ega and got it to work. (Before I had display.sys in the config I got all kinds of Unrecoverable Application Errors. Display.sys replaced ega.sys in DOS 4.) So, I finally got it installed. I'm fairly disappointed. I loaded up WinQVT and made a connection. That's when I noticed that my screen output was MUCH slower. Intolerably slow when I'm used to 2400 baud in fast text mode. So, I un-installed the Trident VGA driver and went back to regular VGA. Bummer.
