Message-ID: <6044@darkstar.ucsc.edu> Date: 15 Aug 90 13:32:50 GMT Sender: usenet@darkstar.ucsc.edu Reply-To: mcmahon@tgv.com Followup-To: comp.os.vms Organization: TGV, Incorporated in Santa Cruz, California Lines: 17 News-Software: VAX/VMS VNEWS 1.3-5 I have been working with DECwindows utilities (VMS 5.3-2) on a remote Sun 3/50 running X11R4 and using IP transport. So far, everything has worked fine... except for a few missing fonts and the session manager. Has anyone succeeded in starting the session manager and directing it to a remote display. I have tried issuing a SET DISPLAY/etc... and running the session manager. I receive a bunch of violations referring to modification on private resources and the Session Manager exits. Any ideas on how to fix this thing ? Or is the Session Manager only happy with the DECwindows X server ?
