View, CA Lines: 25 I recently downloadd the following from cbip: v07i197: frac11, another tetris-like game (part 01/03) only to find that it requires an EGA or VGA graphics adapter. If I had known this in advance, I would have skipped it. Would it be possible to list hardware requirements for programs that use graphics and other weird features, so that we can decide whether or not to spend time downloading a program? Side commentary: I realize that monochrome and CGA are pretty antiquated for desktop systems (heck, they were antiquated to begin with) and that most of the world is now EGA or VGA, but there are a growing number of us who own laptop computers that offer only monochrome and CGA capability. For us, software compatibility is still an issue. --M -- __ \/ Michael Portuesi Silicon Graphics, Inc. portuesi@sgi.com "every now and then things become clear" -- jane siberry
