I posted a similar message in comp.sys.ibm.pc..

I have version 5.00 of the AGILER mouse driver program
agmouse.com

I can NOT get the mouse to boot up in the Microsoft Mouse
systems mode by holding down the left button during power
up... I tried the mouse on a friend's computer and the same
problem exists..

Do I have a defective mouse or defective mouse driver?
