However it does seem reasonable to display a range of line numbers on the mode line. That is, in addition to displaying the percentage of the buffer above top of window why not also display the range of line numbers the window is currently viewing. I have looked into this by checking out the variable mode-line-format but I still do not know how to implement this feature. Any suggestions?
