Message-ID: <25338.26d30944@kuhub.cc.ukans.edu> Date: 23 Aug 90 03:37:56 GMT Organization: University of Kansas Academic Computing Services Lines: 23 I collaborate with scientists at other institutions, and would like to have some way of sharing color graphical images with them. The CGM files are made using NCAR Graphics 3.00 on a Silicon Graphics 4D/25g. My collaborators don't have IRISes (or comparable workstations), but they do have PC's. There is little chance that we can afford a color hardcopy device in the foreseeable future (other than taking a photograph of the screen...) So my question is, can anyone suggest some way of converting the metacode files so they can be viewed on a PC using common (cheap or free) tools? Something like .GIF files is what I had in mind. I could then ftp the files to them, or mail floppy disks. Thanks for whatever suggestions you can provide. ________________________________________________________________________ Raymond W.
